Between miniature + monument, between make-believe and permanence, between the memory of a child and the eye of an adult. You will find us there.
THE SEASON OF ARCADIA is not a single project. It is the emergence of a larger system.
SLOANEHOME is its domestic and architectural expression. Studio Sfumàto is its concealed cinematic arm. The Arcadian Archive is its memory. Together, they are rooted less in mass production and more in authorship, stewardship, and atmosphere.
Not art for commerce. Not art for content. Not art for algorithm. Art for art’s sake. But with a contemporary addendum:
Art in service of place.
Art in service of memory.
Art in service of meaning.
Andrew Michael Sloane (Curator, SLOANEHOME) is a filmic Production Designer working between architecture, memory, and narrative space. His practice traverses interiors, objects, archives, and cinema; with an emphasis on atmosphere and the accumulation of meaning over time.
